Hari Aum Dear Sadhakas,
In the chaotic hustle of modern life, where every moment seems occupied and every distraction clamors for attention, there exists a sanctuary - a place called the temple where time slows down, and inner peace is rediscovered. In this blog we take a look at the structure of temple, and other interesting bits of information which we see every time we visit any temple but many may not be aware of its significance.
We would invite our readers to read and share this very interesting blog with their near and dear ones.

Question Of The Week
Q - What is the journey of atman ?
A - The atman or jivatman is immortal and takes birth again and again according to its karma. Through this process, the jivatman learns its lessons. Finally it realizes that true bliss cannot be got from this material world but only by uniting with the Parmatman. Only then will it be freed from the cycle of birth and death.

The Hindu Way of Life
Shravanam - one of the nine forms of Bhakti, means hearing or listening. In the context of bhakti, it refers to actively listening to the glories, teachings, and stories of the divine (such as Krishna's life and teachings in the Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures). Through shravanam, devotees deepen their understanding and connection with the divine.
Reflection of the Week
Taking refuge in Krishna means to trust implicitly in his divine protection, guidance, and love. This is the most secure and rewarding path. The ultimate fulfillment of life is attained by creating a deep and personal relationship with Him.
Golden Opportunity to learn Sanskrit
Sanskrit is one of the oldest living languages in the world. Studies done abroad show that children who learn Sanskrit are brighter and more intelligent and have better memories than other children. It is also known to be the best suited for Computers.
It gives us immense pleasure to introduce Atul Srirag who is Shiksha Shashtri and well qualified to teach the divine language of Sanskrit. He can be contacted at athulshriragkr@gmail.com
Ayurvedic health tip of the week
Warming Sock Treatment
If you or a family-member is fighting off the fever or a flu and would like to do it naturally, here is a Naturopathic protocol you can add: • Warming sock treatment: Do this right before bed, before you turn in for the night. This is a kind of hydrotherapy practice using a pair of cotton socks and a pair of wool socks. Drench the cotton socks in cold water and then wring them out. Put the wet cotton socks on, then wear the dry wool socks over the wet cotton socks. Do this right before getting into bed. You can wear the socks through the night. Make sure you are feeling warm/comfortable and not chilled before doing this practice (this is very important, otherwise you can catch a cold). Your body will heat up and dry out the socks through the night. (This is helpful to the healing process because it induces the body's vitality and immune response.)
Our trusted Naturopath is: Dr. Poorna Menon, Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

Astrology Tip of the Week
Every month there is Shivaratri usually observed as Masik Shivratri. In the month of Shravana this becomes highly powerful day. All those people who have any issues related to marriage or there is delay in marriage can pray to Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati on this auspicious day. This can help in reducing the ill effects causing delay or issues in marriage. One can offer unboiled milk with honey and perfume on Shivalinga for relief too. Masik Shivaratri in the current Shravana month will be observed on Aug 2nd, 2024.
