Question Of The Week
Q - Can I be spiritual but not religious?
A - Sanatana Dharma teaches that spirituality is a personal journey of connecting with the divine and realizing one’s true nature (Atman), which is considered eternal and divine. The essence of spirituality in this context is about inner awakening, self-awareness, and union with the Supreme (Brahman), which can be pursued in various ways—through meditation, introspection, devotion, or a life of righteousness. The Bhagavad Gita, emphasizes that the ultimate goal is self-realization and spiritual liberation (Moksha), which can be achieved through a personal path of devotion (Bhakti), knowledge (Jnana), or disciplined action (Karma), independent of organized rituals.

The Hindu Way of Life
The lotus flower, which blooms beautifully despite growing in muddy waters, teaches us that purity and spiritual growth can emerge from challenges. In Sanatana Dharma, this symbolizes rising above adversity, detachment from external turmoil, and the journey toward self-realization. Like the lotus, we can find peace and beauty by focusing on our inner growth, regardless of life's difficulties.

Ayurvedic health tip of the week - Chronic Cough
A chronic cough of longer than 2 weeks requires an X-Ray to rule out more serious conditions like pneumonia and tuberculosis. Naturopathic approaches to conditions like bronchitis include higher dosages of Vitamin A, the supplement NAC which breaks up mucous, and Vicks applied over the front and back of torso + covering up the patient properly, and plenty of liquids. If symptoms worsen, a chest X-Ray should be done.
