Hari Aum Dear Sadhakas,
Nag Panchami, underscores the profound relationship between humans and nature, particularly through the reverence of serpents, or Nagas. This festival, held on the fifth day of the lunar month of Shravana (July-August), symbolizes the deep respect for nature’s elements and the vital role they play in human life.
We invite our readers to read our current blog on this beautiful festival on how Sanatan Dharma respects and worships nature and its element.

Question Of The Week
Q - Who is Ananta or Shesha Naga?
A - Ananta or Adishesha is the name of the serpent on which Lord Vishnu reclines. The word “ananta” means endless and thus the snake represents the infinite and eternal nature of the world. It is “mula-prakriti” or primordial Shakti or power from which the whole of this diversified creation arises. Vishnu lies on this, thus signifying that the whole cosmos is under his control and can be activated only at his command.

The Hindu Way of Life
"Keertanam" is one of the nine forms of devotion in the concept of Navadha Bhakti, it involves expressing devotion through vocal expressions of praise, hymns, and mantras, which helps to cultivate a deep connection with the divine.
Reflection of the Week
While the Jivatma may seem distinct, it is ultimately inseparable from the Paramatma. Just as a shadow cannot exist without a physical body to cast it, the existence of Jivatma is based on Parmatma as it is basically an amsa or part of Parmatma which goes back to its original source and has been explained in various scriptures including Bhagwad Geeta.

Pilgrimage with Vanamali Mataji
From Her Vanamali On Tour Series, Vanamali Mataji visits the Lord Muruga Shrine Temple at Batu Caves, just outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in May 2023. Muruga, also known as Kartikeya, the War God, is Lord Shiva’s oldest son. The Sanskrit word for “cave” is “guha” - Lord Muruga is also referred to as Guha since he likes to inhabit caves. Vanamali Mataji shares a story told by Dr. Naga, a scholar of Shaivism: A great yogi named Mauni Swami had meditated on Lord Muruga in the cave and only due to his tapas, it is said that Lord Muruga manifested himself in the cave in the form of a spear. A spear happens to be Lord Muruga’s weapon. She recounts Her Darshan with the Swami as She takes us through the historic background of the Batu Caves, as well as Her most recent Visit and Darshan there. Follow along Vanamali Mataji’s experience at this fascinating cave temple.
