Hari Aum Sadhakas,
Nestled in the sacred town of Puri, the temple of Lord Jagannatha stands not only as a marvel of architecture but as a living embodiment of spiritual inclusiveness and divine mystery. Revered as Daru Brahman, the Supreme Spirit manifested in wood, Jagannatha’s form harks back to ancient tribal worship, yet transcends sectarian boundaries to embrace all paths of devotion. His large painted eyes and formless body symbolize the omnipresent gaze of the universe, absorbing elements from tree worship, Tantric rituals, Buddhist meditation, and Vedantic wisdom. The temple’s grandeur, from its towering spire to its world-renowned kitchen, echoes this spirit of abundance and universality. Nowhere is this more evident than during the annual Ratha Yatra, where the Lord steps out to meet His devotees of every caste and creed, reminding us that the Divine is not confined within sanctums, but flows freely through the streets of faith and love.
Read the latest blog to discover the fascinating history, symbolism, and timeless rituals that make Jagannatha of Puri a universal Lord for all seekers.

Question Of The Week
Q - Why is the number 1000 considered sacred in Sanātana Dharma?
A - In Sanātana Dharma, the number 1000 (Sahasra) symbolizes infinity, divine completeness, and cosmic magnitude. It appears in sacred texts like the Sahasranāmas (1000 names of deities) and in yogic symbolism as the Sahasrāra Chakra, representing the soul’s union with the Supreme.

The Hindu Way of Life
Ātma-Nivedan, or total self-surrender, is a key concept in the Upanishads, where the jīvātma (individual soul) offers itself entirely to the Paramātma (Supreme Self). It is the realization that the ego, doership, and separateness must dissolve in the light of true knowledge. As the Isha Upanishad says, “Īśāvāsyam idam sarvam” , all belongs to the Divine; thus, surrender becomes the path to liberation (moksha).
Reflection of the Week
Stars can only be seen when it’s dark because their light, though constant, is subtle and easily outshone by the brightness of the sun or artificial light. Similarly, in life, our inner strength, wisdom, and hidden potential often shine the brightest in times of darkness or adversity. Just as night reveals the stars, challenges reveal the light within us.

Ayurvedic Health Tip of the Week - What is causing my high blood pressure?
Hypertension, or an elevated blood pressure, is a common condition faced by many today. Often times the root cause of hypertension is not established, so here are a few tips in helping you to investigate what the root cause might be with your practitioner. 1) Sleep apnoea - do you snore at night? Do you sometimes wake up breathless or choking in the middle of the night? If so, you may have undiagnosed sleep apnoea, which can often be a causative factor of hypertension. Ask your practitioner if this is reasonable cause for concern and if they can help you in working this up further. 2) Stress and anxiety - how are your stress levels? Do you notice a direct correlation between stress and elevated blood pressure? If so - anxiety could be a big piece to managing your hypertension, further to meds. Consider addressing your stress and anxiety as a critical part of your hypertension management if so and do try to prioritize it.
