Hari Aum Sadhakas,
We have an important announcement to make today regarding our weekly blogs. As you know, we have been providing these newsletters free of charge for the past 54 weeks. However, as our team has grown and we have taken on more responsibilities, we have come to the realization that we need to compensate our team members for their efforts. While they have been graciously volunteering their time thus far, we believe it is only fair to provide them with a stipend so they can continue to provide their invaluable contributions.
To do this, we will be introducing a small fee for our new newsletters. Rest assured, our old blogs will still be accessible to everyone. We understand that change can be difficult, but we hope you will understand our decision and continue to support us. We will provide more details about the subscription process next week.
We also want to take this opportunity to wish everyone who celebrates the solar New Year a happy and prosperous start to the year. Our new chapter will also begin next week, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
Thank you for your continued readership and support.

The Sanatana Dharma
When the mind is happy and free from stress and worry, everything will give us happiness. The Sanatana Dharma gives us methods to control our mind so that we can soar above the dualities of life.
These methods are pranayama, yogasanas, meditations, mantra japa, etc. If we keep to a strict schedule of following these different types of yogas, we will find that we can keep our mind reasonably free from duality. Of course, happiness will come, followed by its favorite companion, unhappiness, but this is not the end of the picture. This oscillation will keep going in the external world, but once we learn to stabilize our mind, we will be above this.
Reflection of the Week
We cannot have day without night, we cannot have joy without sorrow and we cannot have love without hatred!! In fact, the only way we recognise joy is because we have had some sorrow at some time or other. The only way we can be pain free is because we have experienced pain! We only know light because we have experienced darkness! This is why a man living in the sun with never know the meaning of “light” because he has never experienced darkness!
Mantra of the Week
“Samatvam Yoga Uchyate””
“Yoga is a state where the mind is stable.”
For your health and well-being
An oil massage, either self-administered, or administered by someone else, can be very calming to Vata (the air + either dosha). When Vata is out of balance, one is prone to more anxiety, feeling unsettled, etc. A firm and caressing oil massage just before one's bath/shower is a hence a wonderful routine to begin incorporating daily. Take time to attend to your body as you rub the oil into your skin. Coconut oil is a good base oil if you tend to run hot, whereas sesame oil is a good base oil if you tend to run cold.
