Hari Aum Sadhakas,
From the hymns of the Rig Veda to the sacred rituals of Sanatana Dharma, rivers have been revered as divine mothers who nourish, purify, and protect. Among them, Maa Ganga reigns supreme, a celestial stream flowing from the heavens, caught by Shiva’s matted locks, and sanctifying the land of Bharat. Her waters carry not just history and memory, but also powerful spiritual vibrations. In this post, we journey through the sacred rivers of India, especially Maa Ganga, exploring their divine connections, historical legends, and spiritual significance. As we honor their holiness, we must also remember our duty to preserve their purity. Let us dive into this sacred flow of devotion, history, and awakening.

Question Of The Week
Q - What are the basic sacred scriptures of Sanatana Dharma?
A - The foundational scriptures of Sanatana Dharma are the Vedas, which include the Rig, Sama, Yajur, and Atharva Vedas. Alongside them are the Upanishads, Tantras, Agamas, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, and Mahabharata, which provide philosophical, ethical, and devotional guidance. These texts form the spiritual backbone of Hindu thought and practice.

The Hindu Way of Life
The phrase "Guru Grantha, Govind" emphasizes reverence for both scriptural wisdom (Grantha) and the Divine (Govind) as guiding lights in life. In Sanatana Dharma, the guru imparts the essence of sacred texts, helping the seeker realize God within. This balance of knowledge and devotion forms the foundation of a spiritual, dharmic life.
Reflection of the Week
Just as a river flows tirelessly toward the ocean, its ultimate source, nature guides us gently back to our divine origin. Through its rhythms, beauty, and balance, it reflects our inner journey toward self-realization and unity with the Divine. In Sanatana Dharma, nature is not separate from Spirit. It is a sacred path leading us home.

Ayurvedic Health Tip of the Week - Eating Your Lightest Meal for Dinner
Our body reflects the rhythms of Nature and our digestive fire, or agni, reflects the rhythms of the Sun. Similarly, when the Sun is lowest at the sky in the evening - our digestive fire is at its weakest too. This is why Ayurveda recommends eating one's smallest meal at the end of the day. The meal should ideally be had before sunset, or at least a couple of hours before bedtime, it should be light and easy for your body to digest and assimilate. Just making this one change can benefit your digestive process and energy greatly - try it out and observe the changes you experience!
