Hari Aum Dear Sadhakas,
Dattatreya Jayanti, celebrated on the full moon night of Margashirsha (usually in December), honors Lord Dattatreya, a revered figure in Hinduism. Believed to be a unique incarnation embodying the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, Dattatreya is depicted with three heads and six hands, each holding symbols of the divine gods. His life and teachings hold a profound place in Sanatana Dharma, emphasizing wisdom, detachment, and the power of nature as a teacher. On this auspicious day, devotees seek his blessings for spiritual growth, knowledge, and inner peace. Let us explore the fascinating story and wisdom of Lord Dattatreya, and celebrate his divine presence on this special occasion.

Question Of The Week
Q - What is the significance of the scriptures (Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita)?
A - The scriptures of Sanatana Dharma, including the Vedas, Upanishads, and Bhagavad Gita, are considered divine revelations that provide guidance on the nature of reality, the self, and the ultimate purpose of life. The Vedas contain sacred knowledge and rituals, the Upanishads offer profound philosophical insights, and the Bhagavad Gita teaches the paths of duty, devotion, and self-realization. Together, they form the foundation of spiritual wisdom and the pursuit of liberation (Moksha).

The Hindu Way of Life
The river, a vital element of nature, teaches the Sanatana Dharma principle of surrender and flow with the divine will. Just as a river flows towards the ocean, regardless of obstacles in its path, individuals are encouraged to surrender their ego and desires, allowing life to unfold naturally and harmoniously. This reflects the teaching of Karma Yoga, where one acts selflessly, without attachment to results, totally trusting the divinity that guides the flow of life.
Reflection of the Week
Objects in the world are inherently neutral; they are neither good nor bad. It is the mind that projects duality, categorizing things based on personal desires, preferences, or attachments. This idea is rooted in the concept of Maya—the illusion that creates a sense of separation and duality. In reality, everything is one and beyond the labels we assign to it. The mind, influenced by ignorance (Avidya), creates judgments, but spiritual wisdom helps transcend this dualistic view, leading to a deeper understanding of the oneness of all.
