Question Of The Week
Q - How often should we pray?
A - The frequency of prayer can vary depending on individual beliefs and practices. In many religious traditions, individuals are encouraged to pray regularly, whether it be daily, multiple times a day, or during specific times such as morning and evening. Ultimately, the frequency of prayer is a personal choice and can be based on one's spiritual needs and connection with the divine. It is important to find a prayer routine that feels meaningful and fulfilling to you.

The Hindu Way of Life
Srimad Bhagavatam, describes “Dharma” as a 'bull' who stands on four 'legs'—Tapah -austerity, Saucha - cleanliness, Satya - truthfulness, and Daya - kindness. These principles, known as 'the four pillars of dharma', are universal and applicable to all facets of human existence
Reflection of the Week
Suffering is not imposed on us externally; rather, it is often created or exaggerated by our own thoughts, perceptions, and reactions to situations or people. Our thoughts and interpretation of events can play a significant role in how we experience and perceive suffering.
Ayurvedic health tip of the week
Cardiac Red Flags
As you understand your symptoms, it is important to differentiate potential red flag symptoms from those that are not as urgent. With respect to your cardiac system, some things to take note of are a chest pain that gets progressively worse and/or dizzy spells that are also associated with shortness of breath, loss of consciousness, or palpitations. If you find you are experiencing such symptoms, please reach out urgently to your doctor for the appropriate workup and to rule out any serious conditions.

Understanding with Vanamali Mataji
The close relationship between the Earth and the planets/astral bodies was recognized a long time ago by Vedic astrology. Vedic astrology also knew that only those planets closest to us can affect us.
Therefore, in the counting of the days of the week, only those grahas (planets) were taken whose vibration/light is within the range that affects the Earth. That is why all Hindu festivals are connected with some planet and especially the moon which is the closest to us.
Find out which planets are influencing our lives, as well as the colors associated with them. Click here to watch as Vanamali Mataji explains why there are seven days in a week and what their relationship to planets are.
