Akshaya Tritiya
The Adiveda Weekly #197
Hari Aum Sadhakas,
Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu and Jain calendar, symbolizing growth, prosperity, and lasting blessings. The term itself means “that which never diminishes,” reflecting the belief that actions performed on this day bring enduring results. Celebrated on the third lunar day of the bright half of Vaishakha, it holds special importance for starting new ventures, performing charity, and spiritual practices. In 2026, this sacred occasion falls on April 19, carrying powerful astrological significance. It is considered a rare day free from negative influences, making every moment inherently auspicious. Devotion, generosity, and new beginnings on this day are believed to yield lifelong benefits.

Question Of The Week
Q - What is the significance of Siddhidatri in Navadurga?
A - Goddess Siddhidatri is the ninth and final form of Navadurga, symbolizing spiritual completion and divine perfection. She grants siddhis (supernatural abilities) and higher wisdom to sincere devotees. Worship of Siddhidatri leads to inner balance, self-realization, and mastery over mind and senses. She represents the ultimate union of material and spiritual fulfillment.

The Hindu Way of Life
अंतःअस्ति प्रारंभः (Antah Asti Prarambh - The End is the Beginning ) - Every ending is part of a larger cycle of renewal, guided by the principle of Samsara. What appears as an end is only a transition, where the soul moves forward carrying its karma and lessons. Destruction is not final, it creates space for new creation, as seen in the role of Lord Shiva. You learn to accept change with faith, knowing each closure prepares you for a higher beginning.
Reflection of the Week
Defeating someone takes force, strategy, or advantage in a moment. Winning someone over takes patience, respect, and consistency over time. You can overpower a person’s actions, but earning their trust requires understanding their perspective. Real influence comes from connection, not control.

Ayurvedic Health Tip of the Week - Healthy Food is not always Healthy
Any food that your body is unable to digest well is not healthy for you. In Ayurveda, they will even describe such food as creating poison in your body, because of the undigested food matter. So next time you choose salad over dal and sabji for lunch, or hop on to the latest superfood trend, ask yourself first if these are foods that your body is able to digest well. For example, do the foods give you bloating, reflux, lethargy, excess flatulence, diarrhoea, or constipation? If you find any of these to be the case, then the food is not digesting well in your body and you will be better off eating foods that you do digest well. I’d also recommend working with a healthcare practitioner to explore the root cause of your mal-digestion.
